About Joseph Casey

I have enjoyed photography for as long as I can remember.  As a youngster enjoying the beautiful countryside of Norfolk and East Anglia, as well our family’s regular camping trips in the Lake District, I always recall having a camera with me to capture the amazing landscapes, and the happy memories with my parents and brothers.

After numerous paper rounds, at sixteen I secured a Saturday job at Boots the Chemists. This enabled me to finally afford my first proper camera (a 35mm SLR by Canon that I still own though rarely use nowadays). Although I did get to study photography at high school it wasn’t until 2010 that I decided to take my opportunity to create a business based on my passion for photography.

In that year I was given the chance to shoot my first wedding for Susan and Sam at the beautiful Cley Mill in North Norfolk. It was a charming intimate ceremony with a lovely couple and small group of very close family members. It was a superb experience and wonderful introduction to the world of professional photography. They adored their images and were generous in their praise immediately boosting my confidence

“We were thrilled with the results of our wedding photos. Joe was easy-going and professional and his friendly attitude was a winner with our guests. He blended in perfectly and delivered countless brilliant photos, both posed and candid. We wouldn't hesitate to use his services again or to recommend him to all.”

Susan & Sam

For me photographing weddings is the most enjoyable way to make my living, and a real privilege. Capturing the joy of the couple, their family and friends and experiencing all the emotion, laughter and recounted memories on these most special days is always magical.

Of course it’s not only about weddings. It’s great being there for people who need someone professional and dependable to capture their most special occasions such as christenings, birthday parties, or who need portraits at a particular moment in time. With Susan & Sam being my very first clients, it was a particular pleasure when they needed portraits taken with their children Elliot and Sophia.

Since I turned professional I have been fortunate enough to work on so many interesting assignments. Documenting corporate and charity events, taking photographs of musicians live performances and working on their promotional work. I am now increasingly being sought after to work on commercial projects - creating imagery to promote businesses, products and premises - and spend a lot of time capturing staff portraits.

I produced my first video commercial and music video in 2015, along with the challenge of filming four wedding videos.  From this experience I have found film making both entertaining and enjoyable.  I plan to bring a showreel of my video work to this site soon.

In 2018 I received permission from the UK's Civil Aviation Authority to undertake commercial operations utilising remotely controlled aerial vehicles and so am now able to include aerial footage within still photography & filmmaking projects using drone quadcopters flying at altitudes up to 400 feet.

I look forward to meeting you when the time is right and would encourage you to view my portfolio and take the time to read the testimonials left by my clients.
